Protected Disclosures – Annual report 2025

Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act requires the publication of an Annual Report each year relating to the number of protected disclosures made in the preceding year and actions taken in response to such disclosures. This report must not result in the identification of persons making disclosures.

Coimisiún na Meán confirms that it has in place both internal and external reporting channels and procedures for protected disclosures and is reporting the following information in relation to protected disclosures received in accordance with the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act for the calendar year from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025.

Protected Disclosures (External)

Section 7 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 as amended (S.I. No. 524/2023) is the provision by which the Chairperson of Coimisiún na Meán is a prescribed person. Appendix1 provides details of External Reports made or transmitted to An Coimisiún under the Protected Disclosures Act in 2025.

There were no matters reported under internal protected disclosures channels during the period 1 January to 31 December 2025.
