Protected Disclosures – Annual report 2024

Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act requires the publication of an Annual Report each year relating to the number of protected disclosures made in the preceding year and actions taken in response to such disclosures. This report must not result in the identification of persons making disclosures.

Coimisiún na Meán confirms that it has in place both internal and external reporting channels and procedures for protected disclosures and is reporting the following information in relation to protected disclosures received in accordance with the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act for the calendar year from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024.

Protected Disclosures (External)

Section 7 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 as amended (S.I. No. 524/2023) is the provision by which the Chairperson of Coimisiún na Meán is a prescribed person. This is the annual report of Coimisiún na Meán for the period 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024. There were no external protected disclosures received during the reporting period.
