Digital Transformation Scheme
The Digital Transformation Scheme provides funding to support media organisations to innovate and transition to the digital information environment. The scheme has been established following a recommendation from the Report of the Future of Media Commission.
The key objective of this Scheme is to support Public Service Content Providers to progress to sustainable digital models ensuring the long-term viability of independent, trustworthy, accessible and diverse high-quality public service content.
Current funding rounds
€3 million has been allocated for the Digital Transformation Scheme (DTS) in 2025 thanks to funding allocated by the Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan, TD.
Round 1 of funding is now open until 24 October 2025.

Expressions of interest for expert assessors
We are seeking on an ongoing basis, to engage suitably experienced candidates to act as Expert Assessors to assess grant applications for the Digital Transformation Scheme, the News Reporting Scheme, the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme (LDRS) and Courts Reporting Scheme (CRS).
