Sound & Vision 4 is a funding scheme for broadcasters and independent producers that funds the production of high-quality programmes about Irish culture, heritage, and experience and programmes to improve adult literacy.

Current funding rounds

Round 61 – closed to applicants

This funding round is now closed to applications. Decisions are expected by the end of October 2026.

Round 62 – now open

Round 62 of the Sound & Vision Broadcasting funding scheme is now open.  

We welcome funding applications from independent producers and broadcasters to support the production of high-quality broadcast content that reflects Irish culture, heritage, language and diversity, including content in the Irish language.

All applications must be submitted via www.cnamonline.ie by 12 noon on Thursday 26 November 2026. Decisions can be expected by the end of March 2027. 

A webinar for prospective applicants will take place on MS Teams at 11am on Thursday, 22 October 2026. Applicants must register for this event.

External assessors

Applications are assessed by teams of external assessors chosen based on their relevant experience and the theme or format of each round.
