Sponsorship
Coimisiún na Meán understands the importance of recognising and promoting the range of talent and creativity across Ireland’s media sector. We sponsor a range of media related events and activities each year that increases the prominence and visibility of culturally relevant content for Irish audiences. We look forward to engaging with a diverse range of groups to promote their work and our role within the media sector.
Funding support can be sought through our Sponsorship Scheme and a funding round is operated each year. In 2024, we awarded approximately €230k in sponsorship to a range of events and activities taking place across the country, including Galway Film Fleadh, Catalyst Film Festival, IMRO Awards, Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtas and IFTA.
Sponsorship has also been allocated to support conferences and/or networking events concerning the sustainability and development of media.
What can be sponsored under the Scheme?
Media related events/activities, for example festivals, awards, events, seminars, and panel discussions.
What cannot be sponsored: The production of films, television or radio programmes, or podcasts, and/or mentorship or training programmes. For opportunities in these areas our other funding programmes may be of interest.
